Online workshops: how does it work?

Working and living in Germany – join our online workshop and explore your options!

Our next online workshop on "Make it in Germany", with presentations on the topics: "Working and Living in Germany" as well as "A Successful Appli­cation in Germany" will be held on Wednesday, the 20th of February 2019 from 5pm to 7pm CET. Expert advisors from the Federal Employment Agency will provide enough time to answer your questions after the presentations.

How does it work?

Register today! Participation is free of charge.
The presentations will be streamed live from Germany. Participants can send their registration form to: make-it-in-germany@spam.arbeitsagentur.de

How to register?

1) Fill out the registration form.

Note: The registration form is available as an editable online PDF document. Please note that the PDF document can only be reliably opened, edited, and downloaded if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download Adobe Acrobat free of charge at https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/acrobat/pdf-reader.htm.

2) Select the right module to meet your needs from our selection of presentations.
3) Then send the completed online form to our e-mail address provided above.
4) You will receive a confirmation e-mail from us with further information on the event.
5) All you need is to be connected to the internet via your laptop or computer. 

Topics of Presentation

Module I: The presentation will give an insight on German labor market and career opportunities. You will learn about entry and residence regulations, job prospects and specific challenges - for example the knowledge of the German language. We will give you information about the education and training system, as well as on recognition of foreign university degrees and professional qualifications.

Module II: This part focuses on the application process. You will learn about how to apply for a job in Germany and what it takes to be well prepared for an interview. 
 

Who can take part in the online workshop?

University graduates and professionals who are interested in working and living in Germany can register for this workshop. The information presented could also be of interest to Americans of German heritage or with close ties to Germany. Basically everyone who is interested in Germany or interested in making a career in Germany can register.
